Welcome to Verdant Organic Lawns, an environmentally-friendly lawn care company serving Princeton, NJ homeowners who seek responsible, healthy, sustainable lawn growth and maintenance solutions.
Verdant Organic Lawns was established as both a business and a passion. We truly care- about your lawn, your family, your pets, and your health. Increasingly aware that toxic lawn chemicals are both detrimental and unnecessary, we pursued training and accreditation from the Northeastern Organic Farmers' Association Organic Landcare professional program. The program brings green industry professionals from throughout the northeast to Leominster, MA to undergo extensive training in organic landcare best practices.
We studied the effects of each chemical we used and discovered that chemical cures are often more detrimental than the lawn diseases themselves. We noted that chemical applications killed beneficial bacteria and microorganisms, nullifying intended results and damaging local eco-systems. We also observed that synthetic pesticides and fertilizers poison native animals.
Our conclusions? Chemical treatments may pose great dangers. They are toxic to landscape, lawn, people and pets, and frequently harm neighboring properties as well. The good news is that organic practices allow us to enjoy beautiful landscapes without using harmful synthetic products.
